ABOUT
US
We at Pawsitively Waggin’ Academy are here to help you and your dog with science-based, force-free methods. We offer in-home dog training classes and group lessons for puppies and adults. We train dogs to be obedient because they choose to be, not because they are punished to be so.
What Does Science-Based Dog Training Mean?
Check out what the AVSAB has to say about punishment and the dominance theory:
The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) is a group of veterinarians and research scientists dedicated to improving the lives of animals and people through an understanding of animal behavior.
Why Force Free?
- Force free dog training is the ONLY form of dog training that is backed by science.
- Stress Free, Fear Free, Force Free
-
Force free dog training uses positive reinforcement as well as the science backed safe portions of the Operant Conditioning Quadrant in order to teach your dog to be the best version of him/herself.
-
Force Free dog training strengthens the human-dog bond, leading to better relationships at home between ourselves and our canine companions.
-
Force Free dog training does NOT use fear tactics to force dogs to obey.
-
Fear tactics using Positive Punishment (adding a stimulus to decrease behavior) have been proven to increase aggression, anxiety, and escape/avoidance of the owner
